Applaud Events founder, Aria Brickner-McDonald, has shown passion for the event industry since she was a young girl by producing tea parties with her sister and directing performances put on by the neighborhood kids.

Aria’s event planning skills have come a long way since childhood.  Her professional career began while she was pursuing a degree in Recreation Management at the University of New Hampshire.  She worked as the first female director for the Student Committee on Popular Entertainment – SCOPE - and booked all of the student entertainment for four years while she was in college. Upon graduation Aria moved to Seattle in 2005 and has continued to plan events. Her professional experience includes working with CRG Events and Microsoft to coordinate corporate conferences, product launches, tradeshows and parties. But weddings have always been her favorite!  

After Aria planned her own wedding, she realized even more what it takes to plan a successful day. Aria will show the same dedication to your wedding as if it was her own. She is reliably calm under pressure and remarkably attentive to the smallest details. Aria is a professional individual with plenty of planning experience along with a thorough, patient and enthusiastic demeanor.  She understands (and enjoys!) the importance of smooth logistics and is prepared to solve for any last-minute issues so that you don’t have to.  Most of all, she wants for you and your guests to experience a memorable day of love and joy!
